1st Annual Iron Chef Arizona

The Competition will be held October 1^st 2011 at Power Square Mall on Power and Baseline in Mesa, AZ. Go to our website and fill out our entry form.

Welcome to the first Annual Iron Chef Arizona. If you have a love for cooking, and are over 18 years of age, this is the competition for you. WE ARE LOOKING FOR CONTESTANTS AND JUDGES RIGHT NOW.

CONTESTANTS:We are looking for 10 contestants (one to represent each of the following cuisines):

• Italian
• Indian
• Mexican
• Caribbean
• Greek
• French
• Southern American
• European
• Hawaiian

 All food will be prepared off site. Contestants will need to provide there own food transportation and table. The day of the competition, each contestant will have 1 hour to plate there dishes.

Our contestants cannot have any formal culinary training. You can work in the field but cannot have gone to a culinary school.

JUDGES:

We are looking for 5 judges. There will be a total of 10 judges. The 5 remaining judges are picked randomly from the audience.

SECRET INGREDIENT:
Each contestant will get a chance to work with one style of cuisine listed above. 24 hours before the competition, a secret ingredient will be announced to incorporate into their dish. This secret ingredient will be chosen by our Facebook fans.

GRAND PRIZE WINNER:Will get a Trophy and a trip for 2, location TBD by August 20^th, 2011, 2^nd Place Winner will get a gift certificate and a dinner for two. There will also be a customer pick winner that will receive a gift card. 

The winning dish will be featured every Saturday at Sweet Treats Bakery Café for 4 weeks after the event. Entry is FREE.

Official Rules will be emailed to each contestant. Please spread the word we want to get a lot of people there!!

1st day of our Grand Opening

Our Grand opening day was a huge success! Everyone loved the sweets and we had a great turn out. We did a raffle and gave away some great things but we have one more day to this grand opening!

We will be doing another raffle with movie tickets, gift cards to mall stores, and more. Come see us and please contuine to support our new business. Thank you all sooo much!

Opening of a new library

We had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of the new Mesa Express Library on Tuesday and it was wonderful. Here is a link to the news article.

We provided a wonderful spread of goodies for the Mayor and guests:

Here I got to shake hands and visit for a few with the Mayor of Mesa. He was excited to see our business location and enjoyed our sweet treats. Turns out that his first business was located right where my bakery is now. 

Welcome to our new Blog. Since we are just getting started here, let me introduce you to our new shop. Sweet Treats N' Custom Cakes creates Custom Cakes for all occasions and is a Full Service Bakery. 

Our Grand Opening is June 4th for our retail store. The store will be located inside the Power Square Mall, which is located in Mesa, on Power Rd and Baseline. The Bakery is located right off of entrance #5.
